Making lemonade out of lemons...

It's Sunday, and here I am...on my couch.  It's crazy how a baby can change your world.

I had just put Ellie Grace in her car seat to walk out the door to church, (only our second Sunday back since she was born) when she spit up.  Not just ANY spit up; the kind that projects all over her and her car seat.  AHHHH!!!  Even if I would have changed her outfit, there's no way I was putting her back in that seat to go to church.  So what did we do?  We made lemonade of out lemons.

Caleb and I took the girls outside so that I could get a picture of them in their coordinating Thanksgiving outfits.  The lighting wasn't that great, it was cold and sprinkling, but we got several cute pics of our sweet girls...

Mia loves Ellie Grace so much!  I can't wait to watch their relationship develop.

Happy Thanksgiving Week!

Sweet Caroline...

Happy 3rd Birthday to my sweet niece, Caroline.  I can't wait to celebrate with her in a couple of days.  Here are some pictures from her birthday last year....

Don't you just LOVE how girly she is?  Nothing but pink for this girl! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CAROLINE!!!!

Changing my name...

Changing my name to "Dather" when I got married was a tad bit difficult.  Don't get me wrong...I was TOTALLY stoked to be married to Caleb, but I LOVED being a Riles. :)  I do have to say though, that if I can't be a Riles, I choose the next best thing...a DATHER.

Here's just a glimpse of why...

Mamie came to visit this weekend.  She is originally from France, but currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky.  Because of the distance between us, we don't get to see her very often, so when we heard she was coming, we all planned to hang out and catch up.

One of the coolest things was that Mamie got to meet her 5th great grandchild!  How cool is that?!!!!

Mia is so blessed to have Noni in her life...

And her Papa too!
(Can you see Mia's face here?  She was belly laughing at Rocky!)

And I SERIOUSLY could not ask for better cousins for my girls.
Bryson is one of the coolest and genuinely kind boys I know...

And who is sweeter than Cam?  He LOVES my girls and they love him! :)

Now THIS little lady is fun!  She is soooo good at sharing her toys with Mia. :)

Ellie Grace has no clue how much this man will mean to her one day...

All gathered around watching Caleb play Angry Birds.
Does anyone else think that is the most random game in the world?!!!!

More time with Mamie...

Family time outside by the fire.  We even ate our dinner in the dark.
(since it gets dark at like 6:00 now!)

Mamie with her five great grands! :)

These next pics are so sweet to me.  I love my nieces and nephews!

They all lined up for a turn to hold Ellie Grace!

His heart is so huge!

Yay!  THREE Dather girls now. :)

Playing with Ali...

Like I said, I love that I will forever be a Riles, but I am so proud and THANKFUL to marry into an AMAZINGGGGGGG family!

And guess what?  MY SISTER IS COMING IN LESS THAN A WEEK!!!!!!!!!!  I can't wait to see her family!

The meeting...

Caleb's french grandmother, Mamie, is in town!  This weekend she got to meet her 5th great-grandchild.  Mamie and Ellie Grace hit it off right away. :)

It's Da Best!

Mia and I made "da best" applesauce a couple days ago.  Check it out!

We had a lot of apples sitting on our counter.  (Thanks, Mom!)...

We rinsed them...

Chopped them up...

And threw them in the crockpot... (seeds, stem, and peel!)

After about 3 hours, our house smelled delicious and the apples looked like this...

We scooped them into the sieve and began to mash!  I can't find the real thing you are supposed to use to stir it. I think it is in my garage in a tub, so we used a ladle instead...

The applesauce started to look and smell so yummy! Mia couldn't resist sticking her finger in the bowl...

Keep working!...

Finally!  Da best applesauce ever! :)

I love having a sieve!  When I taught K5, I told one of the parents that I wanted one, but I couldn't find them anywhere!  The next thing I knew, she brought me one!!!!!!  Yay for awesome, go above and beyond, moms like her!  I have used it to make applesauce in my classroom every year.  The kids love it because they cut the apples (with plastic knives), are able to put ALL of the apple in the crockpot (seeds and all), and then they get to stir/mash it through the holes.  We don't add anything else.  It's JUST apples, and it is YUMMY!  I don't think I've ever had a student who didn't love it!  Mmmm...I think I'll go eat some right now...
